Chair Yoga
We have Chair Yoga classes for those who have difficulties getting up and down on a yoga mat. Check in with your teacher who will help you with what you need to know as a beginner.

New to Yoga
Check with your doctor before starting a new physical routine. It’s also a good idea to check in with the teacher at the beginning of class and inform them of any ongoing physical issues you may have.
FAQ
What do I wear?
Yoga is practiced with bare feet or special yoga socks. You should wear clothes that are comfortable for you that allow for unrestricted movement.
Do I have to have my own mat?
You can rent one of our mats but we highly recommend having your own mat. Equipment in any activity is important. We don’t suggest a thick exercise mat for yoga. You may become unstable on a thick mat. We also sell Manduka mats in the Shala.

Yes. You may bring anything you’d like to help you with your practice. We also have blankets, blocks, belts and bolsters you may use.
